Fresh & Clean Featured Slider – Can animation be used on .com?

On the Fresh & Clean theme, there’s a Nivo Slider for featured images.
On some of the demos for this theme, I’ve seen an animated slide show that automatically shows the featured images from sticky posts.
I’ve got the sticky featured post images working, but with page numbers that need to be clicked on to change the images.
Is there any way to get an animated slideshow of them in wordpress.com, or is a wordpress.org blog required for that?

There Hero slider does not operate automatically. It’s not designed to. The way it’s operating on your blog is how it’s designed to operate ie. when the vistor clicks another featured post appears in the slider.
Slideshows
The only way to do this in your posts is to use an animated gif, and don’t use many of them since animated gif files get very large very quickly and that could slow your page loading times considerably. With animated gifs, you must create images in the exact size needed for your particular theme because if WordPress has to resize or crop the image, then it will kill the animation. -

I’m having the same issue. The theme designer says on their site:
“Fresh & Clean comes with a NivoSlider image slider on the homepage. Via the theme panel you can choose your sliding speed, animation and transition. You can also define a custom link for each slide or leave the option blank to show only images.”
I can’t find this option. I’m using wordpress.com.

The WordPress.org version doesn’t have the slider available either, at least not in animated form.
