Fresh News – Slider posts not working

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello, I’m new to the site and this is my second post I am looking to the forum to try and solve my problem please.

    I’ll explain, I quite liked the look of the Woo’s Fresh News site, so downloaded it last Friday. Everything seemed to go well, the posts came over…yes all 3 of them, but one of the things I really liked was the slider function on the home page…but this doesn’t seem to work. It tells me that the problem I have is that I have not tagged any posts with the tags that I have put in the Woo theme options page. Well…I beg to differ. I have written a post (My latest one “Trusts your instincts…”) and added all of the tags that I have available to me…but still no slider.

    So, I thought, does the post need a picture in it…I added one and it still doesn’t show in the slider box. The post shows in the home page as it should and is in fact attached to most of the category/tags that are in the second menu down the white banner with links to categories etc)…so I’m thinking there may be a problem with the actual software…either that or I’m going mad, just like the OP.

    Maybe someone could help please. The website URL is http://www.tenerifepropertygroup.com Thanks in advance. s1monsg.

    I’m sorry but we Volunteers on this support forum have no knowledge of premium themes and how they are intended to work so we provide no support for them at all. When you purchased your premium theme it what came with that purchase was support directly from the theme designer. Go here > Appearance > Themes and click the link you find there to the Premium Themes Forum please.

    Thank you timetheif, I was trying to get into the Woo theme webpage to get onto their forums and couldn’t because I wasn’t registered.

    I can see how to get questions answered now, thanks.

    @s1monsg
    Go here in your wordpress.com blog > Appearance > Themes and look for the “premium” link and click it. If you cannot enter the premium themes forum by doing that then please contact Staff as Volunteers cannot help you http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

    @latinabroad
    That’s NOT a free hosted WordPress.com blog that you linked to above. The version of our theme is different from the version you have which is running on WordPress.ORG software. You must post to http://wordpress.ORG/support for all support issue you have with your self hosted WordPress.ORG install. Posting hear will not be helpful to you or anyone else and is likely to cause confusion for those who have the WordPress.COM version of the them.

    @ timetheif…thanks for the advice, but i got it sorted…pretty easy really…I just needed to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS…!!!

    @latinabroad…I think timetheif is correct, it doesn’t look like your site should have a slider anyway…although I stand to be corrected.

    This blog here is using the same theme as me Mystique and they have a slider at the top http://www.weightiermatters.com/ I can’t add one in and I’m using the same theme. why not?

    @sabbathsermon
    The version of Mystique you see on that blog is coded to run on a self-hosted WordPress>ORG install. WordPress.ORG and WordPress.COM run on different software and the version of the Mystique theme coded to run on WordPress.COM software does not have a slider.
