Freshly Pressed
-
I just have a quick question. How exactly do some of those blogs get on the “Freshly Pressed” page? Is it based on the popularity of the blog and if it gets popular enough it gets posted up there? Or do some WordPress moderators read these and they post up what they like? I’m just a little curious.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have some quick questions for you.
What are you talking about?
Why didn’t you post a link do we know what you are talking about? -
I went on the net and did a Google search for “Freshly Pressed”.
It’s a web hosting company and here’s the contact link for you to use so you can put your questions to them http://www.freshlypressed.net/contact/ -
Are you talking about the “freshly pressed” tab on the main wordpress.COM page? If so, staff will not say since if they told you how it was decided, then everyone would be trying to game the system so their posts showed up there.

I found “it” whatever “it” is and I apologize for my earlier confusion. Sorry :( but I never go to that page.

I don’t call it the freshly pressed pafe, I call it the front page of WP.COM . I think you’ve had some long days trying to help out here TT ;)
I can tell you it doesn’t have to do with popularity because recently I was on there. YAY! and my blog isn’t all that popular. I think they draw our names from hats. -

Hmm, I wonder what the system they use for picking the freshly pressed blogs is. You probably need a well-written post and a really good picture that they can use when they add your post to “Freshly Pressed”, but beyond that they probably have some other criteria we don’t know about.

Well, I guess, like in those Tootsie Pop comercials, “The World May Never Know”. Haha. Thanks for all your posts.

TSP hit the nail on the head. There’s really nothing more to discuss because if the selection factors were revealed then there would be those who would “game the system”.
