Freshly Pressed?
-
Is it true that in order to get one of your posts “Freshly Pressed” all you have to do is keep writing and hope someone randomly sees it? i feel like maybe there is a button I’m supposed to click or something that enters it in some sort of box for a panel to review and give me my spot on the Freshly Pressed roster.

No.
In order to get into Freshly Pressed, all you have to do is be more interesting to the Freshly Pressed editor than the other 30 million blogs hosted here, on any particular day.

WordPress.com prepared this document about Freshly Pressed:

I cruise freshly pressed all the time and I see blogs that have only ONE post and not even an about me yet. What is up with that? And the topics are not even that provocative. Lame.

If you have feedback on Freshly Pressed that you would like to submit to Staff you can use this link to do that after the 15th August > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ -
You mean like a comment box?
Yeah, I am not trying to be a complainer but it is a bit disappointing when you see multiple blogs with nothing in them.
Thank you!

If memory serves, the editor says she particularly favours featuring new blogs, so they get off to a good start.

Staff are not at their usual duties this week, so it’s hard to say. Usually she does it daily if I recall.
-
Well, it has been at least 2 days or so I can remember and the Freshly Pressed page are still showing the same blogs.
-
If my memory serves me right, Freshly Pressed is not updated on weekends (and that probably includes holidays too). So it may be unrelated.
