Freshly Pressed Button

How do I know if my posts have been on freshly pressed. If they have, where do I get the “Featured On Freshly Pressed” button?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You’ll know because you’ll have thirty thousand readers, that’s how you’ll know.

If there is such a button, I want it. Never seen it.

I notice a few blogs with a button that says “featured On Freshly Pressed”. I look at new blogs posts almost every day and never see any of my own posts. But, maybe that’s because I don’t follow my own blog. I just want to know if at some point, like a revolving door, my posts are featured on Freshly Pressed. How do I know? And, if they have been, can I add a Freshly Pressed button to my sidebar. I am working on my 3rd of 6 award nominations, so a Freshly Pressed button would be great, too.
    Thanks!

I have seen it on several blogs. Also, I just noticed the avitar that says mysticalmansionandgarden should now say thebelmontrooster. I need to fix that, too. Seriously, you are saying that I will get 30,000 readers in one day?

“Featured” means they’ve been featured. It’s not a voting button. You get the image to use IF you have been on Freshly Pressed. It is a small selection of posts from the 17 million or so posted here each day. Let me destroy your dreams now: the odds are 17 million to one against you. No, they are worse, because blogs that have been freshly pressed once are more likely to be freshly pressed repeatedly, lowering the chances that a non-FP blog will be freshly pressed.

I’ve been here seven years, I’ve won so many blog awards I don’t even NOTICE, let alone COUNT them anymore, I’m a professional blogger, the Guardian once chose my blog as the best thing on the internet, and I’ve never been on Freshly Pressed. I recommend setting your sights on a more attainable goal.

Yes, being on FB will get you that many readers, easily. But a friend of mine was on Fark and got nearly 90,000 in one day. I’ve had 33,000 thanks to Google once.

If you type in “Featured On Freshly Pressed”on your browser and click on images, you will see the button I am talking about.

And if you’ve done a search for it, how did you miss http://en.support.wordpress.com/freshly-pressed/

I have read the information on Freshly Pressed. Like I said, I look at the new posts almost every day. Many of the blogs I have found there I am now following. It’s just that there are MANY more AWESOME blogs with GREAT posts that aren’t there. A lot of the blogs I follow are on Freshly Pressed every day. It is just very odd how many very new bloggers that seldom post are chosen for Freshly Pressed while others who are AWESOME aren’t chosen. I am not saying I think mine should be, and it is fine with me to not be. Lord knows 30,000 readers would be a bit overwhelming. I do really enjoy blogging and my blog, The Belmont Rooster, has been doing very well. It has been one of the best experiences of my life. But you did answer my question as to how I would know if I was featured on Freshly Pressed…

Read the link raincoaster gave you:

Once you’ve been promoted, you’ll receive an email. But more importantly, you’ll notice your page views, followers, and comments increasing.

If you are asking me to justify the choices the editors make, that’s not my job. I have no idea why they pick what they do; it’s their personal tastes.
