Freshly pressed issue

When I create a new post, I do not always see it popping out in the reader section (visible to others when searching for a particular tag).
Would you mind explaining me why this happens? The tags and categories I use are exactly the same and yet sometimes (particularly recently) my posts are not visible to others as freshly pressed.

You are misunderstanding what Freshly Pressed posts are.They are featured post selected by Staff. http://en.support.wordpress.com/freshly-pressed/

If you have assigned a combined total that exceeds 15 Categories/Tags to your posts, you need to edit and delete. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/ After removal of the excess categories and/or tags note it may take several days for your posts to begin displaying there.
