Freshy Header Glitches
-
Has anyone noticed a weird text overlap between the Blog title and the subtitle at the top of the Freshy theme? I use a Mac, and when viewing Freshy with Firefox, Safari or IE, the two seem to run together.
My wife uses a PC, and in both Firefox and IE, they are separated with a space between the lines big enough to give them clear distinction.
Anyone else noticed this?

Interesting. I’m on a Mac too, and looked at it in Firefox and Safari and the line spacing is too tight. I hadn’t noticed it on my test blog before because I added blank spaces before the title so it is centered. Someone was asking about doing that (I forget which theme they were using but it doesn’t matter) and perhaps that’s a solution for you? makes blank spaces.

@david,
I suggest contacting staff with the details on this so that they can adjust it in the main CSS for the theme. It really should be fixed. http://support.wordpress.com/contact/

I don’t think the spacing it out would work because
1. I like the left align and I like having the subtitle directly under the title.
2. If I space it so it appears right on Macs, then it will be overly spaced on systems that are displaying it correctly already.I guess I will just forward this on to the staff. I didn’t want to pester them with user-specific formatting issues, but if you see the problem too…

Adjusting the spacing via the CSS (what staff will do) should not have a big effect on display in other browsers. All it takes is adjusting the line-height on the title h1 from 0.7em to 0.9em, or adding a padding-bottom value of 6px.

Yes, I think staff should fix it. Odd that no one else noticed it before this.
(By the way, the other person wanted a centered title)
