“Freshy” questions
-
Hello all. And sorry if these questions have been answered elsewhere. I’m relatively new to CSS, so bear with me.
1. Is there any way to remove the black bars that are on the left and right sides of my header image?
2. How do I put more space between the letters in my blog’s title?
3. This question was asked in another thread but I never saw an answer: The text of my posts are force-justified, but I’d rather them only be left-justified (i.e., have a jagged right edge). How do I go about doing that?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Are you referring to a wordpress.com blog? I ask because your wordpress.com username is not linked to a wordpress.com blog and the original theme was coded for wordpress.org and the adapted to run on wordpress.com software.

Thanks for posting the url. When one of the css experts drops in to the forum they will give you a hand.

1. Your first question will require an answer from someone with more advanced css skills.
2. I see that you have spaces in your blog title now so that’s resolved.3. The text of my posts are force-justified, but I’d rather them only be left-justified (i.e., have a jagged right edge). How do I go about doing that?
The justicfication of text is not a css issue. Using the visual rich text editor you can align the text as you choose. See icons 7, 8 and 9 http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/15/what-do-all-the-icons-mean/

1. Is there any way to remove the black bars that are on the left and right sides of my header image?
Of course there is: the problem seems to be the width of the entire #header – it is 800px but should be 780px to match the width of the content. Set #header to width: 780px. When you do this it causes another bug: the bg image for the blog title part is too wide – you should edit the bg image to match the new width.
2. How do I put more space between the letters in my blog’s title?
#title h1 a {letter-spacing: 2px;}
3. If you ever need it the CSS rule is:
text-align: left; -
