friend can’t re-sign up to follow me

    Hello, I have a friend who unsubscribed an email that was no longer working. When she went to my blog, put in her NEW and correct email address and clicked follow, she received the message that she had been subscribed with her OLD and no longer good email address. Help!
    BAD email address: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
    Correct email address: (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello! I checked both bad and correct addresses and confirmed that:

    1. The bad address has a pending subscription to your site.
    2. The correct address is not yet subscribed to your site.

    I suspect your friend may have attempted to subscribe to your site while she was logged in to the WordPress.com account attached to the bad address. Can you ask her to ensure she is logged in to the WordPress.com account attached to the correct address before reattempting the subscription?

    Alternatively you can manually add the correct email address as a subscriber by navigating to Users → Subscribers from your site dashboard. For more details, refer to this guide: Import Subscribers.

    I think I have successfully subscribed her; at least I received an email to that effect. Now we’ll wait, and see if she receives a poem from me tomorrow.

    Yes I can confirm the correct email address has been subscribed to your site. Your friend should receive a notification the next time you publish a post publicly but in case she doesn’t, I recommend reviewing the troubleshooting steps here.
