Friend unable to access wordpress.com sites

My friend is having trouble accessing wordpress.com or any wordpress.com blog. They all refuse to load, on both her laptop and desktop, and is having no problem with wordpress.org or wordpress.org blogs, she’s thinking her IP may have been banned, though she has no idea why. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks

It’s not an IP ban; those only prevent people from commenting at WP.com. She probably either has some connection that doesn’t allow the loading of blogs (lots of workplaces are like that, and also disallow Facebook too) or she has a problem on her individual computer. She might have some success trying the Cookie Dance: log out, clear browser cache and cookies, restart computer.

It may be a ISP issue, have you tried calling them?
Or by any chance does she use OpenDNS or any other web blocking software?
