"friendly business" theme does not display photos

I wanted to try out “friendly business” theme. I already have my site set up with the “twentyseventeen” theme, and, as the example of “friendly business” shows a large photo on the welcome page, I assumed it would configure my existing photo when I tried it out. However, no photo appears on the demo or even when I publish. And there does not seem to be an option in the controls for adding the photo. So the theme in actual use does not resemble the example shown at all. What do I need to do to get my main photo displayed on the page in “friendly business?”

What do I need to do to get my main photo displayed on the page in “friendly business?”
The large image at the top of the homepage is the featured image chosen for that page (when a static page is chosen as the homepage, not latest posts). Could you try adding one if you haven’t done so already?
