  Hi!
  I found the blog ‘velomobile.wordpress.com’ is dormand since ist creation in late 2007. There was never any content created.
  I just wrote a comment at the about page, about transferring the blog domain to me and hope to get an answer from the owner.

  IF I get a positive response, would transferring a wordpress.com blog possible?

  Can you be of help if the owner doesn’t respond?

  Yes. The site’s owner can transfer the site to your account http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

  Note that in these cases the blog’s owner rarely responds and there is no expiration date on .wordpress.com blogs unused, reserved or otherwise.

  Moreover, Staff will not breach the privacy policy and provide you with an email address.

  If there is no response you can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

  Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.
