friends cannot "like" a post without registering?

  requirement to register to like a post? Can’t friends like a post without registering with wordpress? How do I change that?

  Liking is part of the WordPress.com social network, so they have to be registered WordPress.com users to use the WordPress.com Like button, just like how they’d need to be Facebook users to use the Facebook Like button and so on.

  There is no way to change that, but you can provide a similar feature for everyone via Settings -> Ratings in your blog’s Dashboard.
