friends can't google my blog

I have purchased the domain descartesillusions.com. Why are friends having trouble getting to my blog? Shouldn’t they just be able to type that in as the search and get to the site? I have even tried typing in descartesillusions.wordpress.com and my phone won’t find the site. They can find me from the link posted on facebook. But no one can go directly to my blog? Suggestions?

It can take up to six weeks for search engines, such as Google, to index new sites. Connecting a Google account with verified site ownership through Google’s webmaster tools may help speed things up. You can find information on how to go about this here:

Thanks, awesome help. I had discovered that if I put in yahoo as my search I was able to go straight there. Guess I’ll just be patient on the google folks. Again thank you.
