From 2 columns to 1

  I have the edit CSS feature, and am currently using Contempt template with 0 widgets. However, the widgets included in the template are still there, of course. Is it possible to remove those and make this theme a single column of text using CSS?

  Add the following to the CSS edit window (with “add to existing…” selected.

  #sidebar {
  display: none;
  }

  Terrific – that worked! However, the one column left needs to be expanded to fill the whole page…have another quick trick up your sleeve by chance?

  You know, you really need to learn at least the basics of CSS if you are going to mess with it. Add this to the CSS edit window.

  Agreed! I read much of the CSS Customization forum before posting a question in an attempt to avoid asking a repeat question. Looking forward to learning more before making too many more adjustments…just needed some very basic changes to start. I’m very happy with the header update to CSS I did based on another answer of yours, plus the two updates from this string.
