from blog to domain

Hi Guys, is it best when people are viewing my blog and they click on my link to my web site is it better to open in the same window or another window? also the same question in reverse as if they click on my blog from my web site and it opens in the same window is that another page for my site? Hope you understand what i am getting at, as I think this helps with search engines yes or no?.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I always practise opening new window because people will not lose the reference site, which happens to be our blogs!
I do not think it helps with the search engine unless our blogs gets popular overtime.

@whhj001122 — I don’t think you’ll really get an answer in favor of one way or the other. It’s really personal preference. Personally, the popup window thing actually drives me crazy and I’ve set Firefox to force that as a new tab open, but even still it isn’t necessary since I could do that if I chose by just clicking on the link with the mouse wheel.

I prefer not to set this as I’m a reader who likes to make her own choices and control her own browser. I dislike bloggers making their choices for me so I don’t make that choice for my readers. It’s their browser and it’s their choice on my blog.

Thanks Guys, so this leads me to this question. Can I have a home page button that will take them back to my web site if that is where they came from and vice versa can I have a home button that takes then back to my blog if that is where they came from
