From Google – fix errors on my AMP pages

I received a message from Google today telling me to “fix errors on my AMP pages” or they will no longer be searched. These are my most searched pages! I think it has to do with photos.

I have the same issue; I looked at this page and it helped me fix my errors: https://developers.google.com/structured-data/rich-snippets/articles?
The only thing I’m having issues now is getting it to save…when I look in google search console the same errors are there.

I also got this message from Google, and when I clicked on their link it told my that 5 of my posts had
Unkown syntax errors: layout CONTAINER not supported.
and for 1 post the mssg was:
Unkown syntax errors: layout CONTAINER not supported and 7 others.
so I assume that post had 8 errors.
I have no idea how to fix ANY kind of “syntax error” let alone unknown ones! Nor do I understand what a “layout CONTAINER” is…
Two of the posts in question are very important on my blog, one of these is the most basic how-to on my site, it’s prerequisite for all the other tutorials.
I asked about this in the pop-up “howdie how may we help you?” discussion box on my stats page, who said s/he will look it up and get back to me, but I was hoping someone on the forums here would have some information or insights to offer…Thanks in advance!

Likewise, I’m getting AMP errors “layout CONTAINER not supported” and “unknown syntax error” referencing Vimeo videos embedded in pages. Please advise! (site: blog.mattedgar.com)

You are receiving the error because there’s no image on those posts that are receiving errors, which is something we’re working with Google to figure out.

I received a similar message from Google as well, and yes, these posts are the ones that popular on Google search.
One of the reasons is “Prohibited attribute” – which is utterly confusing because the posts contained my images, and the posts are purely about travel. The images were displayed using WordPress gallery – would that be the cause?

I’m pretty sure that all my six posts with AMP errors have images. I only have a few published posts without any images (short notices, etc), but I don’t think any of them were listed in my google warning.

Hey everyone!
I received some updates regarding the errors – I wanted to see if you guys can provide the URL(s) to the posts that contain the AMP validation errors so that we can do some debugging on our end. Hopefully we can validate them for you.

Great, I had no idea what to do! Mine are saying “Error in schema.org Article” – I don’t know what that is! When I use the Structured Data Testing Tool they provide, all 3 posts say “image missing and required”

When I just now re-checked, it seems to be down to 5 posts/pages from the 6 that were listed originally, but I can’t remember which post is the one that is no longer listed as having problems. All notices say “last noted on” followed by a date from 2/20 to 2/26 I think, slightly different dates for the different posts.

@susielindau, I have over 70 posts and almost all have images, yet only 5 seem to be marked as having AMP errors, so I don’t get what the connection is to images…

Videos are included with pictures. It’s a container error.@darnell – If you are fixing the errors for us, I have 21 of them. I need to know what is happening so I can make adjustments in future posts. My guess is it’s in the theme. The Able Theme is supposed to adjust for phones and tablets.
