from mapping to redirecting a domain

  Hi

  I bought a domain mapping althought what I really wanted is to redirect my blog at myblog.wordpress.com to my domain.com with my OWN server. Actually, when I first completed the mapping process and changed the dns at my DNS manager (namecheap.com) it seemed that I didn’t do anything wrong, since the wordpress.com URL redirected me to the new domain and the new domain content was visible.

  What I should have bought is the 301 redirect (which was even the same price, 13$). So my question is: Can I somehow redirect the blog to my new domain and server without paying for the redirection?
