from name on email

  We just switched theme to Wu Wei and love it. Our blog name no longer appears as from in emails after a posting. It now says WordPress. How could we change it back so we appear as the sender, not WordPress.

  You can’t change that as you are not the sender of the email and WordPress.com is. There is no blog title displaying on the blog and bots cannot read text in images.

  Look at your feed for posts please http://kidtimes.wordpress.com/feed/
  Now look at my feed for posts http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/feed/

  is derived from the blog title and optional tagline I entered on this page > Settings > General. On this page > Appearance > Header On that page is this setting:
  Header Text
  __X__Show header text with your image.

  And I have enabled that so the title and tagline display on the front of the blog and also in my RSS feed for posts where the email data is derived from. Lastly, I have also uploaded a gravatar so the generic wordpress.com image that appears on your feed page is replaced by my gravatar in my feed.

  Thank you so much for your response timethief. When we add the title and tag line it appears at the top of the blog page and looks rather messy above our header.

  Any other ideas?

  Above my paygrade but you might be able to hide the Tag Line with the CSS upgrade – then it would be in the email but not at the top of the page.
