From Stats, when I click New Post at the top of the Menu tabs why can't I post?

In Stats view, with the daily traffic bar graphs showing, I click on New Post, write my post, upload a photo, and then press “Publish.” I get a red message over the post saying “Invalid action” or something like that. I lose all the content I typed. This has happened a few times. Clicking New Post from other pages doesn’t result in this. What a time and effort waster. From that Post screen, there is also no Save Draft button to choose.

Well, if you know that, why continue to use the page that doesn’t work?
First things first though …. do your writing/editing/proofreading off-line in something like Notepad or any of several other programs. Save a copy locally, then copy/paste into one of the post forms. If something doesn’t work, you won’t have to start all over.

The problem is a technical one with that page. Telling me to avoid that page when its links ought to work properly isn’t helpful. Thanks for the link. Tech support should simply receive these as work orders and fix the damn glitches instead of make us listen to people who know nothing.

The developers are aware of this issue and the next version of WordPress will have a fix. Until that upgrade is done it makes no sense using that link to post.
