From wordpress.com to WordPress.org

  I have a domain on wordpress.com and I want to use that on wordpress.org. So I set up a server at Hostgator and Installed wordpress.org and got a new user name and password. But I can’t use that to log in.

  So I asked Hostgator and they say that I have to contact the domain registrar and update the name servers to point to the HostGator name servers, so my question is: How do I do that?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  If you’re moving your site to another host, we suggest you transfer your domain to the new host so that both your domain and your hosting are managed in the same place.

  If you are unable to do that right now, here are the steps to update your name servers:
