From WP.com to WP.org

    Hi guys,

    So I’m setting up a new site (self-hosted). I’m trying to import the material, but I keep having problems. When I’m trying to export data I have to export each month seperately. And even then it crashes from time to time when I’m trying to import it. Does anyone know a good solution?

    So I’m using in wp.org WordPress Importer but I keep having these problems with it.

    My second problem: How can I transfer my followers their data to wp.org. I heard it can go through Jetpack but my new WP-site is still hidden, so I can’t activate Jetpack … I know it isn’t simple, at least not for me :-)

    Does anyone has a solution? I was thinking I have to unlink my WP.com website from it’s paid domaine name. That way I can launch my WP.org website without losing the data of my WP.com. And on that point I could transfer my followers through Jetpack. But in that case I have to launch an empty WP.org site and that isn’t too attractive :-)

    Anyone an idea?
