  After having used a free wordpress.com template to create my (first) website, I now realize that I’d prefer having this website under a domain name that doesn’t contain ‘wordpress’. How do I go about it? I guess I’ll first have to register a domain name somewhere/somehow? And how do I then get everything over there? Help, please!?

  The following page explains how you can add a custom domain, though this will require a WordPress.com plan:
