  Why doesn’t the front page show summary posts?

  I use The Twenty Eleven Theme and have set Settings/Reading/For each article in a feed, show/Summary but I still get the full posts on my front page.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  That setting controls how the feed for your site goes out. It has nothing to do with how the posts display on your home and archive pages.

  You can use the read more tag to truncate articles:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/
