Front page help

  • Unknown's avatar

I was looking into Yoast SEO the other day and WP Rocket. The only change I made was that I cached the site through WP Rocket. Then I went to my website and my front page has been completely stripped. The theme is gone, all the images are gone. The rest of the site is working fine, just the front page has been lost. Please help!

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Unknown

    Hey @bohn235204!

What’s the URL of the site where you are experiencing these issues? Also, have you tried deactivating both of the plugins to see if that fixes the issue?

Note: right now you are posting at the community forums for sites hosted at WordPress.com. In case you are using the open-source WordPres.org software, and your site is hosted elsewhere, it would be best to contact your hosting provider for further help on this!

Please confirm the URL, and we’ll be happy to take another look!

    Thanks!

the url is https://konnectservices.net/ , the site is hosted by IONOS. Let me know if it something they need to help with. I wasn’t sure if it was just something I messed up in the dashboard of the site by cache’ing it or not. Thank you!

I have not tried to deactivate anything yet, I am fairly new to WP so I’m nervous to make any further moves and further damaging the site

Thank you for the additional details on this! In this case, it would be best to reach out to IONOS support as they would be able to provide additional information and the best next steps for this.

It sounds like something might be conflicting with WP Rocket. You could try clearing out the cache, but again best to reach out to the host if you don’t like to make any changes yourself.

At these forums, we can only help with sites that are hosted on WordPress.com

Hope this points you in the right direction! Cheers!

Thank you much for the help! One last question, this is also popping up from WP Rocket. Could this have anything to do with it?

WP Rocket could not modify the .htaccess file due to missing writing permissions.
Troubleshoot: How to make system files writeable

Don’t worry, WP Rocket’s page caching and settings will still function correctly.
For optimal performance, adding the following lines into your .htaccess is recommended (not required):

And then it lists a long string of coding that could be plugged in somewhere
