Front page layout for Expound theme

I have my page laid out just like the template in expound. The problem I am having is when I post a new post, it becomes the 5th post, after the top large one and the four smaller ones below. What I would like is for a new post to be the first top large one pushing the older ones down each time I publish. I have tried experimenting
with tags and stickies, even removing all tags and stickies as advised but it is always the 5th post. Can you let me know what I am doing wrong? My site is
    http://www.yinnewzealand.com
    thank you

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Have you checked the following information in The Expound theme support document:

Your first five posts with the tag set above and a Featured Image will show up in the featured area, with the most recent being the primary featured post and the remaining four in columns beneath it, as shown in the demo.

If you haven’t assigned a Featured Content tag to any posts, Expound will display up to five sticky posts in the featured posts area. If you have neither sticky posts nor any posts tagged with a Featured Content tag, your newest five posts will be displayed in the featured posts area.

So all you have to do is, not to tag any posts with featured tag.

Please try this and see if it helps :-)

thank you so much, you know I made a mistake and chose a featured tag but then put this featured tag under the heading ‘category’. Once I put it into the ‘tags’ it all magically worked out. My fault, ( ps I had read the above but obviously badly) It works a dream.!!

  • Glad that you figured it :-)

    Well done. Happy blogging.
