  Clicking on the blog title produces this message: ‘This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?
  It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching, or one of the links below, can help.’ If I click on the post, I can find it, but the front page always produces that message.

  Not to worry. As soon as you publish a post not a page the error message will be gone. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
