Front page only shows title
-
Hi,
I’ve just started a blog for the first time.
I just wrote a quick preview of the blog and posted it. Only, on the front page it only shows the title, category, date and amount of comments.I tried the ‘full text’ or ‘summary’ option but that didn’t work and I also tried the ‘read more’ tag but that also didn’t work. It just keep showing the title and no text. What can I do to change this?
This is my blog:

Hi, @d3v1d14,
Welcome to WordPress blogging!
The theme you chose, Rowling, is set up to work this way. I just switched my test site to it and it looks the same except the photos I have are added, it is a Gallery Post default look. Really nice but with only one post there, it is difficult to appreciate it. I did try switching the Gallery to Standard but it made no change.
Now, add ten posts with photos and that home page will look amazing with the title and info for others to easily choose a post to read more.
See the theme info page for details: https://wordpress.com/theme/rowling
If you don’t plan to use photos for each post, or if you want an excerpt available you may want to consider a different theme that has more of what you want built in. :)
Take a look at these: https://wordpress.com/themes/free/filter/blog-excerpts
I hope this helps. Let me know if you need more information.
