Front page portfolio grid in Hatch has gaps of space
-
My site anandalavita.com uses the Hatch theme, which lets you have a grid of thumbnail images on the front page. These thumbnails are the Featured Images of each post. My problem is that seemingly random gaps of space occur within the grid where thumbnails should lay. I can’t determine the reason. I’ve tried changing the “publish” dates but the gap stayed the same. Does anyone have insight on this issue? Thank you.

I see what you are saying and it is weird.
Could you go to Reading Settings screen at https://anandalavita.wordpress.com/wp-admin//options-reading.php
Note the value in of Blog pages show at most
Change it to something else. Save Changes. Then change it back to the original number, Save Changes and see if it helps?
Also do you have many sticky posts?

I was able to replicate this issue on a test site and have let our developers know. Let me know if turning off Infinite Scroll does the trick in the meantime.

Hi Kathryn, thanks for your attention. Turning off infinite scroll only changes where the gaps of space show up. It’s off now in case you’d like to see what I mean at anandalavita.com.

Thanks for the suggestion, staff-happychia. Changing the “Blog pages show at most” value to a higher one (I tried 20 and then 50) filled in those gaps, with “Scroll Infinitely” set to off. So, those two things together did the trick.
Out of curiosity, with the “Blog pages…” value still at 50, I (temporarily) turned on Scroll Infinitely again and the gaps showed up again in the same places as before (third row down, in the three right-side columns).

Thanks for your testing and reports. I’ll keep you posted here once our developers have had a look.

The issue with gaps in Hatch should now be fixed, so feel free to turn IS back on and lower the “Blog pages show at most” number to confirm. Please let me know if you still see any gaps. Thanks.

That was fast! Thank you, the gaps of space are gone with the settings reverted to the way they were before (infinite scroll on, blog pages # at the default of 10).
