"Front Page" "Post Page" both shoinwg "Home" Is this OK?
-
Hello,
Thank you for reading this.
I created an index page on my blog site. When I go to “Static Front Page” setting, both “Front Page” and “Post Page” are only showing “Home” as a selection. Am I supposed to set both to “Home”? Or did I do something wrong? When I made this “Home” Page, instead of creating a new page, I edited “About” that was already there to “Home”.
Was I supposed to not do this?
I would appreciate your help. Thank you!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi chikalish,
It’s not wrong, but setting both the Front page and Posts page to the same location is not typically done. Setting a static page as your Front page gives your landing page a different look and feel than if you just displayed your latest posts.
You might just want create a new page for blog posts and then set your Posts page to that location.
I would then add a menu item to your menu that points to this new blog page.

Hi daschultmn,
Thank you so much for your post.!
I created a new page called “Blog” and published.
But the only difference I see on the home page is it added the blue “blog” bar on top of the “home” bar. Is this what is supposed to be?If possible, could you take a look at my site and let me know? Thank you. (again, I’m sorry I’m a pretty much beginner at this)

Great job! It looks fine to me. You may want to list ‘home’ before ‘blog’, but that’s ultimately up to you.

Thank you so much for checking it!
I indeed wanted to change the order but I didn’t know how, I just figured it out.
You’ve been very helpful!
