Front page posts

Hello –
I want my front page to show blurbs and summaries of my past posts. I have checked the box for this option on the appearance page of my settings, yet my front page only displays the summary of my latest post. Why is this?

That’s a feature of The Morning After theme. If you’d like a post to appear on your front page in that theme, you’ll need to either mark them as a featured post or as an aside.
-
I don’t quite understand. So there is no way for me to have my front page feature the posts in reverse chronological order? Because if I mark it as a featured post, it just gets filed away.
-
That’s correct. The Morning After is more of a magazine theme, designed to feature just one post at a time.
You might want to switch to a different theme if you want something different.

Hi. I have another question. I want to put the “recent posts” box on the SIDEBAR, UNDERNEATH the widgets. I am having a hard time doing that. Can you help? Thank you!
-
If I understand what you want correctly, try adding it to the very bottom of the “Primary Sidebar” list.
-
If I add recent posts to my widgets on the primary sidebar, then it appears TWICE on my page. it appears to the right of the widgets automatically, and I can’t seem to find a away to take it down. This is frustrating!
-
another question – for the Morning After Theme, is there anyway to make the summaries longer?
-
That’s the default widget for that area. It appears if there are no other widgets. Instead, add a blank text widget to it.
Now, the summary size is set and cannot be changed.
