Front Page Posts show no text just "read more"

Hi, how do I control how much of my post is shown on the front page of my blog?
Sometimes a couple paragraphs are displayed, sometimes the whole post is displayed, and sometimes NO text, just (read more) is shown.

    Can I alter this? Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You control that by placing the cursor where you want the more tag to be before you insert it, and I always recommend doing it as if the more tag was its own paragraph rather than inserting it into the middle of a paragraph or sentence. That helps keep you from inadvertently creating HTML errors that can mess of the formatting in the rest of your site.

On the posts where you show only the read more tag, you have inserted it before any of the text in the post.

Also, we need to be able to look at things most of the time, so please include a link to the site you are talking about. We volunteers can’t see the URL you chose when making the topic to begin with.

Hi. Thanks. Well, I never insert anything called a “more tag.” In fact, I am sorry to say I don’t even know where that is located. I just type, add pictures and hit publish. What should I look for?

    Thanks!

Hi. I apologize! I went back and found that “more tag.”
Here’s a laugh for your night, I thought that was a way to help line up my text and pictures.

    Here is the link: http://looneytunes09.wordpress.com/

I went to my latest post and deleted the tag above the first text and it changed!

    Thanks! I learned something.

Usually in blogs, we learn by breaking things first. It’s just the way it is.
