Front Page Q

Hi,
Wondering for a while now and trying to use the search engine and FAQ but I can’t find the answer I’m looking for.
My problem is that every post I post on my blog is displayed full details. But I actually want it to display it partly of the post and if you want to check the whole post you got to click on it.

Most likely this gonna be a very easy thing but I can’t find it how to do it, don’t know either how it’s even called. Sorry for the inconvience.

The “read more” tag is found in the wordpress editor. It looks like a broken page and can be inserted where you want the break to occur so you have excerpts only on your front page. Do not use a “read more” tag inside a blockquote or inside an ordered (numbered) or under ordered (bulleted) list.
Look at this image of the icons in the visual editor. Note that number 12 has the broken page i9mage. That’s the one to click for creating excerpts in the visual editor. In the HTML editor the one to click is labeled as [more]

I’m sorry there is an error in what I typed above. “or under ordered (bulleted) list. ”
It should have read-> Do NOT insert a “read more” tag to splut the text inside a blockquote or inside an ordered (numbered) or inside an unordered (bulleted) list”.
