Front page third content block in Maisha theme

  What is the optimal size for the parent page’s featured image when using a grid layout for the third content block of a homepage?

  In the Maisha theme demo https://maishademo.wordpress.com/docs/create-your-front-page/4/, the gorilla picture fits perfectly from the top to the bottom of the section.

  Is there a specific size that should be used or is there a way to use CSS to force the image to display at maximum height or at least vertically aligned middle?
