front page to display summary of latest post, not entire post

  that is my blog link. i’d like my front page to display my recent posts; however, i can’t figure out how to get it to display not the ENTIRE long post but i want only the title as a link to the rest of the post and the first line or summary or whatever. this is an example what i’m talking about:
