Front Page Widgets Disappeared

    I am not sure if somehow deleted them – but all of a sudden my front page widgets are gone and I can’t figure out how to get them back.

    I am using the Sela template.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi @bcorpsa,

    Did you change the page that’s set as your site’s home page or alter it?

    I ask because the home page needs to have the Front Page Template assigned to it in order for the front page widgets to display.

    If you altered your home page, this would explain why the widgets went missing.

    To fix: Navigate to your home page’s editor and then to the Page Options module on its left. Select the Front Page Template from the module’s template dropdown menu. Save your changes and your widgets should display again.

    Hi! I’m having a similar problem, I think. I’m trying to set up a new blog using the Sela theme, and I’m following the instructions given on the info page and in the above comment, but “Front Page Template” is not an option. :(

    The drop down menu has only these choices:
    Default Template
    Eventbrite Events
    Grid Page
    Pagina Iniziale
    Pagina a larghezza piena

    I’m at a loss…I’ve followed the instructions exactly, and the option just isn’t there…and the widget areas won’t show up.

    Suggestions???

    Just kidding! Apparently “pagina iniziale” means “front page template,” because things seem to work properly with that template choice. :)

    @fullgrownnerd: I’m glad you were able to resolve the issue, too. There’s a glitch where the names of page templates sometimes display in an incorrect language. I’m sorry for the confusion this caused you! We’re aware of the issue and looking into a fix.
