Front Page will not display 4 posts between 8/5-8/17/2015

Noticing that four posts made between 8/5/2015 and 8/17/2015 do not show up on my blog’s Front Page. Not understanding why … they aren’t marked private, and as far as I can tell were posted exactly as all others. Help?

No, unfortunately they are not labeled “drafts” … they are “published.” I wish it were that easy, lol!
It almost seems like there is a glitch loading the front page. As you scroll down the actual blog (not admin), each consecutively older post loads. As you pass the 8/18 post, it seems like there is an extended delay and a strange flash, but then the 8/4 post loads instead of 8/14. It’s actually skipping four posts between those dates, and I can’t figure out why. I’ve tried editing the posts before and after … even each of the missing posts to see if that would change anything, but it hasn’t. You should be able to see this strange behavior as well. -

Can you post one of the titles of the missing posts? i.e.

Looking at it again, and I’d say it’s something to do with the infinite scroll settings. Perhaps turn that off and see what happens.

I turned infinite scrolling off, and now the missing posts *are* displayed (example: https://stampdaydesigns.wordpress.com/2015/08/14/card-embossed-balloon-birthday/), but in doing so my sidebar menu has dropped off to the very bottom. It seems to only affect the Frontpage, and not the individual posts.
I turned it back on again to see if it would fix the problem, and the posts disappeared again (but the sidebar menu stayed at the bottom). So it does seem to be an issue with infinite scrolling, but I can’t seem to find a satisfactory solution.
I’ve since turned infinite scrolling off again, so at very least all of my posts can be seen. -

Hi there,
The issue was caused by some extra HTML in this post from August 18:

That can happen when stray HTML ends up in a blog post from copying and pasting content from another website, for example. It was causing the problem with your sidebar, as well as those missing posts when infinite scrolling was enabled.
I just fixed that for you using the tips from our HTML Troubleshooting page. Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)
