Front Page won’t update

    Hello,
    It’s been awhile since I used WordPress and everything seems to have changed in the meantime. I used to find making a front page so easy but I’m at my wits end with this one!

    I selected a theme and used the included home page, I just made a few edits. The home page never used to come up in the ‘pages’ section. I read another forum that said I should make a designated home page myself and mark that as ‘front page’ in the reading settings, which I did.

    I have built a new homepage and marked it as ‘front page’. When I’m editing the page, it comes up as the new page but when I view it, it reverts back to the original home page every time. Then when I click ‘edit page’, it reverts back to the new home page.

    I cannot get my new home page to show when viewing the website, but I still can’t get the original homepage to show in the pages section to delete it.
