Hey,
I am sorry this has been so confusing, I would love to help you sort this out. If you could clarify how you would like to link these 2 sites I can point you to the right settings in your WordPress site.
WordPress does not offer any sort of integration to another platform such as GoCentral, but you can have links in your menus and on pages to point to the other sites.
Please let me know what exactly you are trying to link.
Thanks,
Tony

Hi Tony,
I managed to figure things out but the wordpress is still quite confusing and not navigation friendly to be quite honest. I am now trying to figure out why my wordpress blog link does not work on my go central. It is suppose to work. Godaddy told me that they work closely with wordpress in order for godaddy customers to use wordpress to their subdomains to their websites. I’m only using my wordpress for blogs only because I already have a gocentral website set up. Just need to figure out the link attach to my links menu. Also would like to know how I set up images protection so that others are not downloading infringing my content.

Hi lisaholtephoto –
Please confirm the URL of the blog that we can help with? I want to make sure I am looking at the same details as you :)

Hi Liz,
My links did come up on my godaddy website showing my blog section at http://www.lisaholte.com but there is not “picture” to display. Just a blank white square box with text. Am I missing something in the configuration? Also, I am struggling to figure out how to set up a live feed on my Instagram account. The video tutorial didn’t help and made it hard for me to see being the arrows so small and moves around quickly. I find myself having to press the stop button to zoom to see. I have tried that and seems it didn’t work. My url for my blog is bloglisaholte.wordpress.com Thank you for assisting! :)

Hi @lisaholtephoto,
Did the links that come up on your site but no picture to be displayed is this section: http://take.ms/GVJAq ?
If so, I don’t know for sure how you integrate that blog section on your site. But it seems that it’s a kind of a 3rd party plugin or service that connects to your WordPress.com site to display the posts in your homepage (perhaps it’s a kind of RSS tool or such).
The reason why the images are not shown most probably because you haven’t set any Featured Images to your posts or have any image content in them. I see that there are some images on the posts but most all of them are embedded content. Images from embedded content can be tricky at times.
You can try to set a Featured Image to one of your posts and see if it will be displayed on your lisaholte.com site. If it still isn’t working, you might want to check with the tool (could be the theme, plugin, or other 3rd party services) configuration, what is required in order to display the images. This tool should be on your main site and not on your WordPress.com site.
If you can’t do this by yourself, you would need to consult this matter with your site administrator, web developer or anyone who helps you build your site.
I believe that is as far as I can help you with this since it is not directly related to WordPress.com functionality or features.
With regards to this:
Also, I am struggling to figure out how to set up a live feed on my Instagram account. The video tutorial didn’t help and made it hard for me to see being the arrows so small and moves around quickly.
Can you please let me know what video tutorial you mean here? Are you trying to set the Instagram feed on your WordPress.com site (bloglisaholte.wordpress.com) or on your main GoDaddy site (lisaholte.com/)?

erricgunawan – I think that is where she’s trying to integrate her WordPress.com site.
The Instagram account is connected to your bloglisaholte.wordpress.com site and you can see it in the right hand sidebar.
I am not sure why the images haven’t carried through to the white blog post boxes where you’ve linked specific posts to your self hosted site. For help with that you’ll need to contact your theme author or post at wordpress.org/support/
WordPress.com staff do not have access to your self hosted WordPress site – these are 2 different things. See here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
Another idea, would be to create a ‘Blog’ link at the menu on your self hosted site that would then open up your bloglisaholte.wordpress.com site – this would be in place of linking individual blog posts as you’ve attempted.
I hope this is helpful :)

Hi Liz,
I am the theme author for my wordpress account. I added my feature image that Eric suggested. Still not seeing white box changing to pictures in my blog link area on my website. I’m going to ask about the RSS tool to see if that might by why it came out that way with my pictures. Eric mentioned something interesting that it is possible that it’s a third party. Is I will ask wordpress about that and see how to configure the links properly. Thank you for the help! Great wordpress community helping one another. I love it!

Hi Liz and Eric,
Good News! It’s not wordpress nor my go central. I spoke with godaddy that host my official domain website. Found out there was a bug on my website that’s not doing what it’s suppose to do. The staff have noted and submitted to tech support to fix it soon. So I’ve done everything properly but the bug got in the way. Thank you guys so much for being so helpful!
