Frustrated! Just want to get started.

  I have NO option to ADD a new THEME under MANAGE YOUR THEME! so frustrated. I have looked on youtube every video has a simple add box. It just comes up with hundreds of themes to choose from. What am I doing wrong?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  There IS no SUCH option AT WordPress.COM.

  Stop watching videos with instructions for WordPress.org blogs. They, as you have discovered, do not apply to your blog. WP.com blogs cannot use external themes or plugins for security reasons. You can only use the ones on the dashboard Themes page already. If you buy the $99 upgrade bundle you can customize the look and feel of those themes as well, so they barely resemble the out of the box themes.

  Thank you for your reply.

  I am using the wordpress site. I have loged in. I have gone down to appearance and then Themes. Once in there there is no option to add the new Theme I have just bought which is Avada.

  How do I find the add Theme button on the wordpress site?

  You cannot add themes purchased outside of WordPress.com. Those themes are only usable on self-hosted WordPress.org sites. The only themes that you can use on WordPress.com are the themes available under Appearance -> Themes on your dashboard.

  If you are sticking with the theme then you will have to switch to a self-hosted WordPress.org site. The other option is to get your money back for the purchase of Avada and use one of the themes available through WordPress.com.

  This is what I have.

  How To Install Avada via WordPress

  Step 1 – Navigate to Appearance > Themes.

  Step 2 – Click Install Themes and click the Upload button.

  Step 3 – Navigate to find the “Avada.zip” file on your computer and click “Install Now”

  Step 4 – Activate the newly installed theme by going to Appearance > Themes and clicking the Activate button.

  Step 5 – Once you activate Avada, you will be redirected to our Welcome Screen. You will then see a notification message to install and activate the required & recommended plugins: Revolution Slider, Layer Slider and Fusion Core.

  Step 6 – In the notification message, click the ‘Go Install Plugins’ button to go to the Fusion Plugins tab where you can install and activate the required & recommended plugins.

  Step 7 – Simply click the Install button on each plugin to start installing them. After you’ve installed them, an Activate button will appear which you can click to start activating them.

  but when I log into the http://www.wordpress.com site and go into Appearance > Themes there is no option to upload.

  Their must be some thing I’m doing wrong?
