Frustrating format change

Usually when I make a post to my blog, I creat the document in word.doc and then copy and past it to my blog. That has worked niced for a long time. Recently I created another blog and exported the files from my first blog to my second blog. Ever since then whenever I copy and paste a document to the blog and then publish it, it won’t stay formated. Sometimes it won’t stay formated before I publish it, no matter how hard I try. I was wondering if this had anything to do with the Export I did and if there is anything I can do to correct it?
One more thing. I understand that I can’t change my username, but I’d really like to do that. Is it possible to create another new account with a new name so that I’m not stuck with the old username? If so, what do I need to do to make that happen?

Pasting directly from Word used to introduce lots of junk code that created all sorts of problems, so this has been disabled. You should type the text in a simple text-editing application, and format it using the relevant buttons (or html) after you paste it in the post editor. Or you can prepare your posts using Windows Live Writer.
New account needs different email.

The reason the word formatting is not holding is that wordpress now automatically strips out all word formatting. They started that a little while ago. The reason is that it was messing up so many blogs, and was even starting to mess up wordpress in general indirectly.
Word is a word processor meant for print, and it does not speak web.

Ok, thanks bunches sacredpath. So if I create another wordpress account so that I can get rid of my current username, will I be able to import all the content of my current blog to the new one I create? It’s kinda important to know that.
