Frustrating site!!!!

This website is difficult to use and confusing. Where are the buttons to share my post? Why ask me to connect to facebook to automatically share posts and then DON’T share the post. Makes no sense!!

Hello – I’m happy to help clarify this for you. Are you trying to just publish a post to your blog? Or are you trying to share your blog post on a social media network, like Facebook, Twitter, etc…?
You can use The Publicize Tool to share your WordPress.com blog posts to your other social media accounts. Here are the step by step instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/
In order to successfully use Publicize to share your blog posts to Facebook, you have to login to you Facebook profile and connect the profile with the WordPress.com app.
To do this, login to Facebook, locate the drop down arrow in the upper right corner and click it to open the menu, select settings from the drop down menu. On the next page, in the left sidebar, click ‘Apps’. Then in the search bar at the top of the page type in ‘WordPress’, the app will appear, click the app to connect it to your Facebook profile.
There will be a message that appears telling you about settings that need to be in place in order for Publicize to work, you will need to agree to that message.
On all new blog posts, from the Edit Post Screen locate ‘Sharing’ and click. Your Facebook profile should be found under ‘Sharing’ after you click on it, be sure that the box next to your Facebook profile is checked to share it to your profile. You can toggle this on and off for each post depending on if you want to share them to Facebook or not.
Publicize will not work retroactively, you will only be able to share blog posts that are published after you have Publicize working.
