Frustration!

I have got to say… it is very difficult to find the right help. I am trying to categorize my posts. I finally found where I could do that for individual posts, on Quick Edit. The info for using the modules for the Categorize app is very sketchy. You folks need to simplify your damn help system.

The “Quick Edit” is not the best nor safest way to make posts on your blog. The official wp.com documents say that Quick Edit is a “great” way to post, but more safe in the long term, I’d advise using this link:

Then it is a simple matter of adding categories to posts.

Agree with 1tess, QUICK EDIT is “great” in a sense that it allows you to post hurriedly.

We get a lot of traffic in the help forum from people that have had Quick Edit throw hours of their work into the ether never to be seen from again. Use the regular edit function and save often – do not trust auto save

Yes indeed! To be clear, my comment about the quick edit “feature” being “great” was not in any way an endorsement of using that option for posting if you want to be sure your posts will actually be published.Perhaps sarcasm and irony don’t clearly work in plain text formats. There have been so many sad stories in these forums of lost posts from people who have used that quirky “feature” that I would never recommend anyone using it.
