I requested to have my domain transferred from gatorhost to wordpress.com by mistake. I requested to have the domain transfer to be cancelled and wordpress.com told me that they would cancel the transfer but it was never cancelled!!!! I need this resolved.

I’m sorry, I don’t see any attempts to cancel the domain transfer under your account.
We have a support ticket from you where we illustrated how to do that back when it could still be canceled, and some support tickets a few hours ago that unfortunately arrived after the transfer had finished.
The domain is now registered here, and due to regulations from the organization that oversees all domain registrars (ICANN), it cannot be transferred away for 60 days.
If you don’t want to use the domain here, you can direct it elsewhere by changing its name servers: https://wordpress.com/support/change-name-servers/
And after 60 days, you’re welcome to transfer it elsewhere: https://wordpress.com/support/transfer-domain-registration/
