I purchased a premium plan for my blog for $96 on July 20,2023. Since then I can’t choose new fonts or colors. It tells me I have to upgrade my plan. WordPress had already let me pick my new name, “mypoeticstyle5.com”. My $96 is gone and so is my new name. What’s going on?

  • Hi there,

I checked your account, and it seems that there may be a bit of a misunderstanding. According to our records, you have indeed added a credit card to your account, but it appears that no charges have been made yet. This typically means that the process of purchasing the premium plan and the domain hasn’t been completed.

You can verify this information by visiting your Billing History page. There, you can see all transactions associated with your account.

Regarding the domain name you believe you’ve registered, could you please provide me with the specific name? It’s possible that the domain could have been registered under a different account, so I’d like to check this for you.

I’m here to help you get everything sorted, so if you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let me know.

  • I just found out that you had opened another topic, so I merged it into this one.

It appears that the domain mypoeticstyle5.com and the associated Premium plan have indeed been registered, but they are under a different account than the one you’re currently logged in to.

This is not an uncommon issue. Sometimes people accidentally create more than one account and get confused between them. In order to manage your upgraded site, you would need to log in to your other account.

If you’re having trouble accessing this account, I would recommend following our Account Recovery guide. This guide will walk you through the steps to regain access to the account where your domain and Premium plan are located. Here’s the guide: https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/

If you need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to ask. I’m here to help.
