ftp information to upload

  ftp information

  hi wordpress, i have a blog through wordpress with my own domain. i am trying to find out the proper information to upload additional features/tools/widgets but i do not have the needed FTP information to contact and upload to my blog.

  can you help me sort this information out?

  There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we cannot install plugins, upload any third party themes, create child themes or our own themes or edit templates.

  The only themes you can use on a free hosted WordPress.com blog are those found here > Appearance > Themes and showcased here > http://wordpress.com/themes/

  There is no upgrade you can purchase that changes that. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  if i understand this correctly, do i need to purchase a premium theme to do this then?

  as stated above

  There is NO Upgrade or Theme that will give http://mediumlondon.com/ ftp access or the ability to upload your own themes, widgets or plugin’s as long as you are hosted on WordPress.COM –

  ok. so, forgive my luddite level of knowledge… do i need to host outside of wordpress?
