  Hi, I’ve recently created my first wordpress site and decided to upload a theme which i bought from a third party. I’ve been unable to do this as whenever i attempt to log into my ftp (in browser typing ftp://) i get an error message “this file server will not allow any additional users to log on. try to connect again later” All i want to do is upload my theme, if anyone could help it’d be much appreciated, cheers

  We don’t support FTP access on WordPress.com. I’m sorry, but themes can’t be uploaded to WordPress.com. That’s a feature of self-hosted blogs through WordPress.org.

  You may use any of the available themes we have under Appearance > Themes in your dashboard, and you may want to look into purchasing the Custom Design Upgrade to customize one of the themes we offer.

  Ah ok i see, if i purchase the custom design upgrade, i could potentially build a layout from the ground up with my own coding?
