  I am using filezilla, I don’t know how to load my blog to the ftp, can you help?

  Let me repeat, domain or no domain, it is NOT possible on wordpress.com

  hudsal, thanks for the help, but I still can’t find it… my website is http://www.smalltownbigprofit.net and it is currently a blank blog, I am trying to install Thesis, but i need access to my ftp… I am over my head I think, any help you can offer would be much appreciated

  If you already have WordPress installed on your hostgator account you can go to Appearance > Add New Theme and upload the theme in ZIP-format (if it comes in ZIP-format, which I assume it does).

  http://smalltownbigprofit.net is a self-hosted blog, using software from WordPress.org. As Husdal has mentioned, you will need to consult http://wordpress.org/support/ about any issues you’re encountering. We only provide support for WordPress.com blogs.   great, I got that far, then it says… that I need to change custom folder to just custom I can’t do that on my computer because the file is read only, I assumed that i am supposed to get to that through the ftp

  You are in the wrong forum, as husdal and thehline have explained. You need to be at WordPress.ORG instead.
