Full blog to subscribers through

Everytime I publish a blog, my subscribers will receive the entire blog content via email. How can I fix to stop sending my entire blog content to my subscribers via email, and they can see my blog via WordPress.com?

Hi there,
To stop sending the entire blog content to your subscribers via email, you can adjust your WordPress settings to send an email notification with a summary or excerpt of the post instead. This will encourage your subscribers to visit your blog on WordPress.com to read the full content. Here’s how to make these changes:
- Log in to your WordPress.com dashboard.
- In the left sidebar, click on “Settings.”
- Select the “Reading” tab.
- Scroll down to the “For each article in a feed, show” section.
- Choose “Summary” instead of “Full text.”
- Click “Save Changes” at the bottom of the page.
Now, when you publish a new blog post, your subscribers will receive an email notification with a summary or excerpt of the post, rather than the entire content. They will have to visit your blog on WordPress.com to read the full post.
Additionally, you can further customize the excerpt by manually adding a “Read More” tag in your blog posts:
- While editing a blog post, select the spot in your post where you want to insert the “Read More” tag.
- Click the “Insert” or “+” button in the editor toolbar.
- Choose “Read More” or “More” block from the available options.
- Update or publish your post.
By doing this, the email notifications will only display the content before the “Read More” tag, prompting your subscribers to click through to your blog to read the full content.
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
