  Hi,

  I’m looking to fully cancel my site, I was advised to repost on here by staff member, with regards to the following post..

  Pardon the repeat of this (as it was posted on your other thread when we first talked), but I do not like people to be surprised about this:

  Just to clarify, if you want to cancel your domain edduffill.com it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and it may not choose to do so. We can’t guarantee that your domain will ever be available to you again once canceled. If you have any intention of using edduffill.com again in the future, I suggest that you do not choose to cancel.

  Please confirm that you understand and want to cancel your domain. Once you have done so, I will cancel it and remove the upgrade from your account.

  Please let me know if you have further questions or if anything is unclear.

  Hi,

  Thanks for your reply, if I’m honest I’m having second thoughts, not about losing the domain edduffill.com but about leaving wordpress.

  Basically I’m now using Tumblr to host my site, but finding it’s not too good with multiple pages. But with this site I have applied the domain edduffill.co.uk which I’ve bought through 123reg.

  I’m not too clued up domains so forgive my ignorance, but if I continued to use WordPress instead of Tumblr, could I use my .co.uk domain instead of the .com? Would this be a case of changing it on WordPress then adjusting the settings on my 123reg account?

  Hi, thanks for waiting while I decided, I’ve made my decision and would like to remove my domain edduffill.com and completely delete my WordPress account.

  I’ve also received an email from 123Reg about transferring edduffill.com to them? Does this mean I’ll still be able to apply it to another site through them in future?

  If you cancel your account here, you will not be able to transfer it anywhere. It will be completely out of your control and you may never be able to recover it. Which is why I keep giving you the “are you really REALLY sure?” when you have mentioned canceling it.
